Living in the future. Advancing today frontiers.
Living in the future. Advancing today frontiers.
It’s incredibly, therapeutically liberating to believe in the power of #creating and #changing, to be absolutely versatile, to be able to conquer whatever there is or whatever thrown at us. We all have baggage, a set of burdens and impediments, that probably prevents us from taking on new things. From being able to conquer all things. From becoming everything: a ‘capable’ jack of all trades, a ‘capable’ master of none. For that, we must remove the baggage.
Remove the baggage. In my case, the face!
#KeepCreating #KeepChanging
Hi, my name is Chetra Chap, and this is my portfolio website. It is the most personal online platform where I make available stories in my life, cool projects I work on, my complete resumé and a design and marketing freelance service.
I like to think of myself as a minimalist intersecting media, technology and culture although I don’t quite fully understand what I really mean by that. But I love building stuffs, do a lot of design, study media, use various technologies, and enjoy thinking about evolution of cultures.
Academically, I’m working on my PhD dissertation on digital marketing and artificial intelligence. I taught a number of classes such as Global Media Systems, Communication Technologies, English Literature, Global Studies, International Relations and Professional Communication in Cambodia and United States. For my Master’s degree, I developed a citizen-journalism website, Khmer Scholar, that now hosts a collection of content about Cambodia by various writers from around the world.
Professionally, I survived both business and non-profit worlds. My main gigs now include producing digital media, and hosting a show about business and technology at Voice of America while running a design and marketing freelance, Think Multiply, on the side. More about me in the resumé posted here.
All opportunities, small and big, are stepping stones to your success. Take them, even the tiniest ones, for what they matter is you will find yourself connecting these dots later.
