The website was officially launched on May 16, 2015 as the final professional project for my Master’s degree at Ohio University. It was designed to be the first citizen journalism website in Cambodia, the one-stop shop for everything Cambodia, and the collection of great minds to enlighten Cambodia. Khmer Scholar has won “1st Place, Best of Multimedia” issued by Ohio University, and “Honorable Mention, Best of Digital” issued by Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Khmer Scholar is also home to my official blog where I publish my research papers, commentaries, personal stories and more.
Headstart International School, Cambodia

October 2010 – February 2012
In my junior year, I started working part-time at Headstart International School as an English teacher. I was, after one year, promoted to be in the management working on public relations and marketing due to my contributions in the redesign of the school’s official logo and website, and in running several marketing campaigns. I later become the Managing Director and shareholder of the school when the board decided to offer me a promotion with equity. I sold my shares and left the school in 2013 to pursue a Master’s degree in the US.
Headstart International School provides a wide range of programs, including Pre-K and Kindergarten, General English and Computer Skills. In 2015, Headstart was acquired by a local school in Cambodia.
